Severance Protection Example: Minister earning $70,000/year

If your church breaks commitments and forces out the minister, you pay:

Formula: $5,000 base + (1-6 weeks per year served), capped at $25K.

Important: If the minister genuinely underperforms despite the church providing all agreed-upon support, no severance is required. Severance only applies if the church interferes with the minister's ability to succeed.

What if we don't find a minister right away?

No problem. Our free support continues as long as you need it. We're invested in helping you find the right person, not just any person.

Do we have to use your candidates?

Not at all. If you find your own candidate, great! We'll still help you create a Covenant Protection Agreement and provide ongoing support once you hire.

What if the minister we hire doesn't work out?

If they're truly underperforming (not making progress toward agreed-upon objectives despite church support), the contract provides clear termination guidelines—no severance penalty. If the church interferes unfairly, the severance clause protects the minister. Either way, we mediate objectively.

How long is the contract term?

The initial Covenant Protection Agreement is for 5 years. At the end of 5 years, we conduct a comprehensive review. If the ministry relationship is healthy and mature, the intensive coaching and protections may no longer be necessary—and monthly fees can be adjusted accordingly. Ministers who have successfully completed 5+ years may even be invited to join our team as coaches/mediators for other churches and ministers.

What happens after 5 years?

After a successful 5-year partnership, your minister has proven track record and established trust with your leadership. At this point, we re-evaluate the services needed. Many successful ministers transition into helping us coach other new hires and elderships—creating a sustainable ecosystem of experienced ministry professionals supporting the next generation.
